Today marked our first hike on the Oregon Coast Trail: https://www.oregoncoasttrail.org/explore-by-section The trail spans the entire Oregon Pacific coastline. In fact the entire Oregon coast is publicly owned due to the foresight of a former Governor. We'll be hiking this trail the rest of our time here, today was a portion of the tenth section. The trail was incredibly lush, almost like a rain forest. It was a fantastic hike, about 6 miles, with a fair amount of elevation change.

As an aside, some have asked how we have managed to stay madly in love, happily married, and able to endure long stretches together for 40 years. One secret? Fastidiousness. Check out this photo of Kari flossing on the trail:

I love that lady:) Always have, always will.

Later we cruised into Brookings for dinner at the Black Trumpet Bistro. Very tasty dinner to cap off another grueling day.
